Established by a group of like-minded youths with experiences in different sectors to promote youth capacity development and provide opportunities to youths
Ricky East African Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Uganda, established in September 2020 by a group of passionate young people. The foundation is dedicated to making a positive impact in East Africa by providing support and resources to communities in need, with a focus on areas such as education, healthcare, and sustainable development. Our mission is to address the health and socio-economic challenges faced by young people in Uganda, particularly through advancing sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and empowerment programs. We work in all four regions of Uganda - Central, Eastern, Northern, and Western Uganda. Our vision is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in East Africa, with a special dedication to improving the lives of young people in Uganda by providing them with the necessary support and resources to overcome these challenges. Through advocacy, research and documentation, capacity strengthening, and institutional development, we strive to achieve our mission. Our foundation is youth-led and youth-serving, dedicated to promoting an HIV-free generation, empowering youth to address social and health problems in rural and urban poor communities, and raising awareness about gender-based social issues, child protection, and gender equality. The Ricky East African Foundation is a fully registered non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of Uganda
